@DivZero_ Anecdata from my workplace suggests that this might be correlated. Found 3 ✅ Slack reactions vs. 0 ✔️ in “general”, and we tend to be Mac based.
Although, despite being on a Mac, I tend to prefer ✔️ myself.

@DivZero_ I tend to leave IDE settings out of the git repo.
I don’t know what’s in these settings and I want to leave out anything specific to the environment (e.g. dirs) or personalisation (e.g. window layout).
I do this even for repos when I’m the sole dev.
